Layering
One trend I will absolutely be incorporating into my style this Autumn is layering. This is a great one because you can easily do this with pieces you already have in your wardrobe using shirts and sweater vests or layering chunky knits and dresses. Combining eveningwear and daywear through layering also seems to be a big trend this Autumn; this is great for the colder months where you still want to look chic! For this look, I’ll be layering my satin slip dresses with chunky knits and trainers.
Oversized
The oversized look has been around for a while and is one I tend to incorporate into my style each season. This Autumn everything is oversized – knitwear, coats (including liner jackets and oversized puffers), even bags. When I wear oversized pieces I tend to style them with more tapered items to create a feminine silhouette.
Denim
This Autumn, just as with coats and knitwear, the denim is also going to be big and oversized. Wide leg jeans have become a big trend this year and they are carrying on through into the Autumn/Winter season. As with oversized clothing in general, I tend to style wide-leg jeans with pieces like fitted tops to show off accentuate my waist and loafers to show off a bit of ankle to balance the outfit out.
Suits
Suits have been a big trend throughout the year. They’re just timeless and classic and instantly make you look put together. You can dress them down with a pair of trainers and a chunky knit or dress them up with some strappy heels and a bralette for a super sleek nighttime look.
